Yoga Alliance Professionals is a Not for Profit Organisation. We exist to support our members and our membership fees are used to provide our members with an increasingly sophisticated web presence and support.
I manage the Human Resources and our teams here at Yoga Alliance Professionals. I wanted to improve the overall experience our members have with us by increasing the level of support on offer. The key to this was having more staff available to answer telephone calls and emails. It is important to me that our team is available to help and offer you support when you need it. To help me achieve this I looked to increase the size of our team.
Teacher Only Events are events/workshops specifically designed to develop yoga teachers. The section on the Yoga Alliance Professionals (YAP) website named ‘Teacher Only Events’ is where these will be listed and you can search for events that interest you. We wanted to provide teachers with this section so it is easier for you to find Teacher-Specific workshops that will help your development.
These events can be either YAPTAs or Teacher Only Events.
You should be aware that all employers in the UK are obligated to set up a workplace pension scheme in 2018. HMRC have been sending out instructions to eligible employers with their staging dates for some time. If you have not received a pack and you employ staff, we highly recommend checking out your staging date and reading up about your requirements as an employer. We can’t believe that January is over already! It’s been a busy month with lots of new members joining, we have also been working hard on getting more YAPTAs to you, some tweaks to trainer memberships and creating guidelines for member features.
At the end of each month, we will write a blog here so that you can keep up to date with any important changes and announcements to YAP. These changes may affect your membership, so it’s important to know what’s going on.
