A powerful reminder of the importance of peace
It has struck me several times that we are holding the Instill conference this
year on Remembrance Day (11th November), in remembrance of those who gave their lives in war. The link to me is obvious as it was to the young men in Sierra Leone, where I have been teaching. How does a yogi go to war? The link between inner equilibrium, peace and connection and the outward manifestation of it, is tangible for anyone who practises yoga. The link between inner peace and the future peace of our country are obvious. (notwithstanding the story of Arjuna.)

Here is an enlightening letter from MP, Rt Hon Anne Milton stating that there is NO REQUIREMENT by the government for the NOS to be used in defining standards in yoga. She states that NOS for yoga in England cannot be enforced if the majority of yoga teachers do not feel they are necessary.
Certainly from the yoga teachers we have spoken to, the overwhelming majority are NOT in favour of these standards.

The plot (or is it soup?) thickens…We reported before on the tight control the BWY has on the NOS steering group, and how applications for inclusion by many prominent studios and organisations like ours were ignored in favour of a few hand-picked supporters within BWY clan.
